Kota Kinabalu: The Kota Kinabalu Journalists Association (KKJA) will have its 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 10.30am at the Hakka Hall’s Diamond Ballroom (ground floor) on May 1.

At the AGM, study grants will be awarded to association members and their children.

“Any proposals concerning the association should be submitted to the KKJA Executive Committee by April 16 for inclusion in the AGM agenda,” said Chairman Jimmy Goh.

He encourages members who want to apply for study grants for their children to fill up the application form and submit it to the committee members by April 23, along with their children’s school grades for the year 2022.

The application for a study grant is divided into several categories, namely Kindergarten, Primary School, Secondary School, STPM/UEC, University (Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate), and Extracurricular Activity.

Children of members who have excelled in academics or extracurricular activities in 2022 are welcome to apply.

Lunch will be served to members after the KKJA AGM and Presentation of Study Awards, according to Jimmy. Members are advised to confirm their attendance with the association’s secretary, Teo Jinn Jiun, at 016-8254889, before April 23.

Members can also contact Teo via WhatsApp for further information or to obtain the study scholarship application form.
