The management of Kuala Terengganu’s iconic drawbridge has issued a stern warning against dangerous activities following a flare incident by football fans.

KUALA TERENGGANU: The management of the Kuala Terengganu Drawbridge has warned the public against dangerous activities at the landmark.

The warning follows an incident where a group of football supporters lit flares on the bridge.

TI Properties Sdn Bhd, the bridge manager, said it views the actions seriously.

The company stated that the open use of flares poses significant safety risks.

These risks include potential fires, small explosions, and injuries to pedestrians.

The activity also threatens the bridge’s structure and public facilities.

Such actions endanger the public and tarnish the state’s image.

The drawbridge is a major tourist attraction for the city.

The management stated it will not hesitate to take strict legal action.

This applies to any individual or group found involved in such activities.

Public cooperation is needed to ensure the bridge remains a proud landmark.

The appeal was made in a statement on the company’s Facebook page.

Thirty-three Selangor FC supporters were remanded today.

They are assisting in the investigation into the commotion that occurred at the drawbridge.
