Dermatology and skincare clinic Kutis By Kei has unveiled a redesigned Makati clinic that showcases Filipino-inspired interiors, and expanded its treatment offerings with the Vossman Blauman Advanced 450 nm Blue Laser.
The renovated branch reflects founder and chief executive officer Dr. Kei George Rebolledo’s vision of creating a more cohesive identity for the brand while giving patients a warmer and more welcoming experience.
After opening the branch at Allianceland Tower on Paseo de Roxas in 2024, Rebolledo said he decided to renovate the space before expanding to a fifth location, ensuring that all their clinics in Metro Manila share a recognizable identity.
“I wanted to fix everything here before I went to the province. Now, I want the four Metro Manila branches to have the same nature so there’s a brand,” he explained.
Unlike the clinic’s previous all-white interiors, the redesigned Makati branch incorporates paintings and sculptures by a local Filipino artist, creating a space that celebrates Philippine culture.
“I’m super proud to be a Filipino. Most of the patients here in Makati are balikbayans and OFWs. Some of them haven’t been home for 10, 20 years. I feel like they’ll be happy with something Filipino,” Rebolledo said.
To bring that vision to life, he commissioned a rising Filipino artist to create the large artworks displayed outside the clinic as well as paintings for every treatment room.
Rebolledo said the redesign was also meant to soften the atmosphere without sacrificing the cleanliness expected of a medical facility.
“Back then, this was a very clinical feeling. It was all white. It looked clean, but the ambience was too much like a hospital. I wanted it to be more aesthetically pleasing,” he said.
The clinic’s large windows were retained to maximize natural light, while the treatment rooms were fitted with softer lighting to create a more relaxing environment. The branch now has seven treatment rooms, a consultation room and a dedicated photo room for documenting patients’ progress.
Alongside the renovation, the clinic introduced the Vossman Blauman Advanced 450 nm Blue Laser, a German-made platform that Rebolledo described as an upgraded version of the Blauman laser system already used in the clinic.
“It’s actually an upgraded version of a machine that we already have. Blauman is one of our favorite machines because it’s a blue laser. It’s beautiful for acne because it kills the bacteria. It’s also beautiful for surface glow,” Rebolledo said.
One of the treatments powered by the new technology is the clinic’s “Vossman Baby Glow,” a 20-minute procedure designed to brighten the skin without needles or downtime.
“Patients love it. It’s like a facial, but it’s not the typical facial because you’re using a laser. It takes around 20 minutes, no downtime, no discomfort, no pricking. It just feels warm. It’s very comfortable,” Rebolledo said.
Beyond skin rejuvenation, the laser can also be used to treat acne and remove benign raised skin lesions such as skin tags, warts and cherry angiomas.
“You might think it’s small, but it has a lot of power. It’s very versatile,” Rebolledo said.
Kutis By Kei currently operates branches in Parañaque, Mandaluyong, Quezon City and Makati, with a fifth branch planned in Angeles City.
