A huge fire engulfed a tower in Kuwait City after it was hit by a suspected drone amid a wave of Iranian strikes on the country.

Footage shows flames tearing through the upper floors of Kuwait's Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS) on Sunday (8 March).

The Kuwait military stated that it was dealing with a drone attack, with shrapnel causing damage to civilian buildings. It said it is continuing to |engage hostile aerial targets" and citizens and residents have been urged to “adhere to the safety and security instructions”.

The attack came hours after Iran’s president apologised for attacks on neighbouring countries, urging them not to join the US-Israeli attacks on Iran.
