Actress Kyline Alcantara sees jewelry as an essential part of how she presents herself, using it to elevate her style and strengthen her confidence in everyday life.
“I express myself in different ways — with my acting, with my singing, and especially with fashion. But when I have jewelry on, it really makes me feel so confident. It completes the whole look. As in, it doesn’t feel complete if there’s no jewelry,” said Alcantara, who made a special appearance at the launch of Klad’s Signature Collection on April 8 at SM Makati.
Alcantara shared that beyond appearances, jewelry plays a deeper role in how she carries herself. While she believes confidence ultimately comes from within, she admitted that the right pieces help bring out her best.
“If there’s really no accessories, it’s not complete. But of course, embracing your imperfections, your strengths and your weaknesses — that’s what’s more important. Still, I’m just going to say, I really need jewelry in my life.”
Alcantara appeared as a special guest at the launch of Klad’s Signature Collection, which features a curated selection of elegant, wearable pieces designed for everyday styling, including the Floral, Pearl and Cubic Zirconia collections. The line highlights delicate necklaces, classic studs and stackable designs that reflect the brand’s focus on timeless and accessible jewelry.
Adding to the event’s highlight was a bridal couture segment by designer Russel May, where intricately crafted gowns were paired with Klad’s signature jewels. The showcase showed how the pieces can transition from everyday wear to more formal, statement looks, blending fine detailing with modern elegance. There was also a color analysis experience where guests discovered jewelry tones that complement their personal palette.
Meanwhile, the actress favors pieces that are subtle but impactful, often choosing designs that complement her natural features. She said her current preference leans toward rose gold, a choice influenced by personal styling and color analysis.
“Rose gold suits me, so I specifically requested for rose gold. I love that they’re delicate, but they match my physique and my face. And you can adjust them, you can stack them — it’s really nice,” she said, adding that she gravitates toward dainty pieces that can be styled in different ways.
Alcantara pointed to stackable necklaces and finely detailed designs, including cat’s eye and floral-inspired pieces, as among her favorites. She noted how these elements allow wearers to personalize their look while keeping it refined.
“It’s so beautiful, especially when you layer them. And I really love the little details. You can mix, you can match — it’s easy to style.”
For those just starting to build their jewelry collection, Alcantara recommends keeping it simple. “If it’s your first investment when it comes to jewelry, I will suggest that you buy a stud. It’s timeless. You can wear it every day, anywhere. You won’t regret it. And then eventually, you can explore more playful pieces.”
When it comes to styling, she also encourages experimentation while staying true to personal comfort.
“For me, jewelry doesn’t need to overpower me. It’s just there to highlight me more. It really depends on my mood. Sometimes I go for one tone, sometimes I mix metals. It’s very personal — it’s a form of self-expression,” Alcantara ended.
