Real Madrid Castilla coach Raul insists Rodrygo Goes is a first team player.

The Brazilian made the move to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu earlier this year and is yet to feature in a competitive match for the first team.

Raul's Castilla side could only manage a 0-0 draw away at Las Palmas B on Sunday and Rodrygo wasn't part of Castilla's travelling party, while he was left out of Zinedine Zidane's first-team squad to face Sevilla as well.

"We had 18 players in the squad and he stayed behind because he's a first-team player," Raul said.

"Whenever they tell us that he has to come [with Castilla], I'm delighted to have him."
