SIPITANG: La Flame team from Sipitang won the netball tournament in conjunction with the National Sports Day at the Lower Interior Division level which took place at the Top Ten Padang at the Sipitang District Council (MDS), last Sunday.
La Flame defeated Sipitang Angel 19-16 and bagged RM1,000 cash, a trophy and medals while runners-up Sipitang Angels took home RM750 cash and medals.
Third-place went to Diamonds who defeated Avangers 14-8. Diamonds pocketed RM500 cash and medals and Avangers took home RM250 cash.
In addition, winners for special awards, fair play team were won by Express Team with top scorer Norinie Juali, best blocker Frangeryn Clyra, best striker Fauziah Sudin and best player Ammeyliah Zainal.
