The Los Angeles Lakers are entering a new era, and one of their free agency targets has already teased fans.
With the departure of LeBron James officially confirmed, the Los Angeles Lakers are officially in the Luka Doncic era now.
While the Lakers already have a core of Doncic and Austin Reaves, they still need quality role players around the duo to even hope to make an NBA Championship run after James’ exit.

Walker Kessler has landed in Los Angeles and reacted to LeBron James’ exit
Over the past few weeks, the Lakers have engaged in serious trade talks with the likes of Jalen Duren and Walker Kessler to address their recurring center troubles.
Speaking of Kessler, he was recently captured by TMZ Sports, landing in Los Angeles. Upon being asked about James’ departure, Kessler gave a thoughtful answer.
“I did see that. Obviously, he’s one of the greatest players of all time, so he would have been great to play with, but we just gotta see what happens, man,” Kessler said.
Being just 24 years old, Kessler is among the generation that grew up watching James in the league. Unfortunately, his dream to play with him won’t be fulfilled, at least in LA.

The TMZ Sports reporter then asked what were Kessler’s thoughts on the Doncic-Reaves duo.
“Good players, too, man. No questions,” Kessler said of Doncic and Reaves.
Lastly, the 7’2″ center was asked to share if he had any message for Lakers fans. Kessler firmly responded, “I’m here, man.”
While no official announcement has been made about Kessler’s plans to sign with the Lakers, this is certainly positive news for fans.
