Labour MP Liz Kendall clashed with Martin Lewis during a heated discussion on council tax bands and the current system.
During Wednesday (26 June) morning’s episode of Good Morning Britain, Mr Lewis asked Ms Kendall if the current system is fair.
She replied: “We're not going to be changing them, and let me explain why, we’ve got to be honest about what our priorities are, and our priorities are not to be raising Income Tax, VAT or National Insurance.”
The Money Saving Expert founder replied: “My question is whether they are fair.”
Ms Kendall replied: “There are many things that are unfair in life, Martin.”
