Martin Lewis has explained the easy way people can “check and challenge” their council tax band.
Hundreds of thousands of homes across England and Scotland are thought to be in the wrong council tax band, according to the MoneySavingExpert website.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday 26 June, Mr Lewis detailed two checks - “the neighbours check” and “the valuation check” - that everyone can use to work out if they are in the wrong band.
He also broke down a number of council tax discounts that people may not know about.
