Lady Gaga spotted with newborn after welcoming first child with Michael Polansky

MANILA, Philippines — Lady Gaga’s new role as a mother gives new meaning to her long-running “Mother Monster” nickname. The singer was spotted with her newborn baby for the first time just hours after reports confirmed that she and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, had welcomed their first child.

Gaga, 40, was photographed carrying the infant close to her chest during a low-key outing in Northern California with Polansky, 42. The images, exclusively obtained by Page Six, showed the singer shielding the baby in a carrier as the couple walked together.

The sighting came after a source confirmed the birth to “People” magazine, although representatives for the singer did not respond to requests for comment.

The couple has not publicly revealed the baby's name, sex or exact date of birth.

The new parents have largely kept their relationship and personal life away from the spotlight. Gaga had also been out of the public eye for much of the past several months after completing her Mayhem Ball tour in April, which ran for nearly nine months and included 86 shows.

The arrival of her first child fulfills a long-stated wish for the Grammy winner, who has spoken openly about wanting to become a mother.

In a March 2025 interview with “The New York Times,” Gaga said she was excited about motherhood but acknowledged that she had wrestled with how having children would change a life that had long revolved around her career. She also said she wanted to give her future children the freedom to discover who they were rather than forcing them into a predetermined life.

Gaga reiterated that desire later that year during an October appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” describing motherhood as the role she most hoped to take on next.

“I would like to do many things. But what I really want is to be a mom. That’s my next starring role, I hope,” she said at the time.

Gaga and Polansky, a businessman and executive director of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy, began dating around 2020 and became engaged in 2024. Their relationship has generally remained private, with the pair occasionally appearing together at public events.
