MANILA, Philippines — The De La Salle University Lady Spikers took full control of the match over the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Golden Tigresses, 25-14, 25-15, 26-24, to pick up their second win in the UAAP Season 88 women’s volleyball tournament Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The Golden Tigresses showed signs of life in the third frame after closing the gap to 20-21, from a 19-15 deficit, capped by Regine Jurado’s off-the-block hit.
La Salle’s Shevana Laput converted an attack error that sent the match to 21-all. But Blessing Unekwe made a service error that gave La Salle the lead, 22-21.
