LOS Angeles Lakers forward Jaxson Hayes has been suspended for one game without pay by the NBA.
The league announced the punishment on Wednesday for Hayes pushing a Washington Wizards mascot before a game last week.
The incident occurred during pregame introductions before the Lakers’ 142-111 victory over the Wizards on January 30.
Hayes will serve his suspension on Thursday when the Lakers host the Philadelphia 76ers.
He has averaged 6.4 points and 3.8 assists per game for the Lakers this season.
