
LaLiga clubs have issued a joint statement in reaction to Barcelona's Negreira case.
Barca are being investigated over claims they paid former referee Jos Mara Enrquez Negreira's company for advice on match officials.
The reamainder of the LaLiga, except Real Madrid, have made a joint statement in response:
"During today's meeting of the LaLiga Delegated Commission (composed of Atltico de Madrid, Levante UD, Sevilla FC, Real Betis, Real Sociedad, Cdiz CF, Getafe CF, Villarreal CF, CD Tenerife, Deportivo Alavs, SD Eibar, UD Las Palmas, CD Lugo and SD Huesca), we would like to state: the joint communication proposal received the unanimous support of all LaLiga SmartBank clubs and all LaLiga Santander clubs, with the exception of two of them, who opposed this joint communication for different reasons, it is specified, making mention of Real Madrid and Bara.
LaLiga and its Delegated Commission reject and repudiate the facts, and are deeply concerned and are actively working to clarify any irregularities that may have occurred around the Negreira case, whether sporting or otherwise.
"LaLiga is following this matter very closely and will act firmly within the scope and limits permitted by law."
