LaLiga president Javier Tebas admits there's plans to play league games abroad.

Tebas says a first LaLiga game abroad could be staged in the 2025/26 season, with the USA market the focus.

He told Marca: "The official match in the US will strengthen our position in the North American market, which is the second for LaLiga after Spain."

This idea of playing matches abroad has been a fundamental strategy for Tebas to avoid the competition slipping back.

"Other very competitive leagues are coming so we can't always do the same thing, they would overtake us (if we did)."
