Enric Masip has defended Barcelona and president Joan Laporta amid the Negreira investigation backlash.
Masip acts as an adviser to Laporta.
He said: "Bara have done nothing wrong and have never benefited from anyone to win anything. We have never done anything wrong to win a title or a match. Bara will defend themselves and the club's honour at all times through the president and the board of directors -- up until the last consequences.
"Bara have more than 120 years of history and have won trophies with the quality of our players, we are a model club in everything, not only in football. I have not needed anyone's help. We are innocent and we do not fear any sanctions."
On the hostility with which Athletic Bilbao fans at San Mams received Bara, he added: "Basque society has always been an example for Spanish society. It's a shame that Bara have to put up with that because of the media circus that has been set up."
