Laughter erupted at PKR's congress as a squirrel momentarily stole Anwar's thunder

image is not available — Apparently, the mild hysteria was due to some delegates were caught off-guard by a squirrel that had scurried and darted among their feet when Anwar was addressing the audience from the rostrum at the at PICC Putrajaya, here, today.

PUTRAJAYA – The seriousness of PKR’s 17th Annual Congress today took an unexpected comedic turn when party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s winding-up speech was momentarily cut-off by a series screams and shocks from party delegates.

Apparently, the mild hysteria was due to some delegates were caught off-guard by a squirrel that had scurried and darted among their feet when Anwar was addressing the audience from the rostrum at the at PICC Putrajaya, here, today.

Amused by the funny turn of events, Anwar who is also the Prime Minister, requested for delegates to keep calm, reminding them that it was just squirrel.

“That’s just a squirrel and the hall is already chaotic,” he quipped.
