KUALA LUMPUR: National men’s singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia has reached an agreement with his father and elder sister over the management and finances of LZJ Management Sdn Bhd, with the High Court recording a consent judgment today.

Justice Leong Wai Hong recorded the terms agreed upon by the parties, including an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) scheduled for Oct 31, with the cost to be borne by the company.

Until the meeting is held, Zii Jia’s father, Lee Chee Hin, 59, and elder sister, Lee Zii Yii, 30, are restrained from approving or authorising directors’ fees, allowances, bonuses, rewards or other financial benefits for themselves from the company.

The restriction does not apply to their monthly salaries, calculated from Sept 1, 2026.

They are also barred from approving or authorising resolutions concerning the appointment or removal of directors, the appointment of a company secretary, the disposal of material assets, the issuance of new shares or changes to the shareholding structure without prior court approval.

The injunction also covers other decisions that could materially affect the company’s management, administration or control.

Zii Jia was the applicant in the case, while LZJ Management was the first respondent. Chee Hin was named as the second respondent, Zii Yii as the third, and Zii Jia’s younger brother, Lee Tao, 25, as the fourth respondent.
Zii Yii was absent from court as she was overseas.

The court made no order as to costs.

On July 2, Zii Jia filed an application for an interim injunction to prevent his father and elder sister from making certain decisions concerning the company’s finances and management.

Lawyer Ahmad Zayd Ahmad Zuber appeared for Zii Jia, Samantha Cheng represented LZJ Management, and Adrian Ng appeared for the second to fourth respondents.
