Leeds boss Jesse Marsch is delighted with the form of summer signing Mateo Joseph.
The Spaniard has scored five goals in three outings for Michael Skubala's under-21s this season so far and he has certainly caught the head coach's attention with his performances.
However, Leeds won't be sending him out to the Football League or elsewhere to pick up senior minutes over the next few months. Instead, they will keep him at Thorp Arch and look to nurture his development with Marsch hinting that first-team opportunities may fall his way should he continue to shine.
“Mateo Joseph will stay," he said. “I think he'll continue to work with the 21s and continue to mature and grow.
“I had a good video meeting with him and we're really happy with him and I think he's inching himself closer and closer to first-team possibilities."
