Leeds United defender Pascal Struijk has pledged his international commitment to Holland.

Struijk also qualifies for Belgium.

But after he was included in the pre-selection of the Oranje by coach Louis van Gaal, Struijk says that he will play for the Netherlands if the final selection is made.

“It means a lot to me that I'm here now," says Struijk. “It is the first time for me that I have made the pre-selection. At the end of a training session, I was met by the media manager, who told me the news. My phone was full of messages and then I felt like a little kid.

"It is very nice to experience and let's hope that I will be in the final selection later.

"If I am in that selection, I also choose the Netherlands. That is my first choice.

"Whether playing for Belgium is still an option? No, that's gone now. I didn't really know what I wanted to do. Then I considered everything, but the Netherlands is my first choice."
