Follow live coverage as Leicester City face Brentford today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Meanwhile, Brentford will be aiming for a fourth away Premier League win in a row when they travel to the East Midlands. Following victories at Southampton and Crystal Palace, Thomas Frank’s side defeated West Ham 1-0 at the London Stadium last weekend. Kevin Schade – who was involved in all four of Brentford’s goals in their 4-1 win against Leicester in the reverse fixture – has scored in each of his last three Premier League away games. The last Brentford player to score in four consecutive away league games was Ivan Toney in December 2020.

Hosts Leicester City come into today’s clash against Brentford aiming to take a crucial step towards Premier League survival. The Foxes have been in horrible form since Ruud van Nistelrooy’s arrival and have now lost nine of their last ten league matches following last weekend's 2-0 loss at home to Arsenal. Currently 19th in the standings, the home side would climb above Ipswich Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers if they were to beat Thomas Frank’s Bees, however their King Power Stadium record has been particularly poor, with five straight league defeats without scoring.
