Fulham go on the attack, with Wilson going for goal just inside of the box. However, his shot is blocked, and is easily gathered by Stolarczyk.

The opening 10 minutes have largely gone Leicester's way, as they have had much of the ball, and even a few chances as well. Whether they can keep that up is another matter.

Vardy nearly causes a disastrous error from the Fulham defence. The Leicester captain swings it into his teammate, but between Castagne and Leno, they bundle the ball over. The latter had to push it out for a corner.

Fulham go forward for the first time in the match, as Robinson gets a cross in that Wilson heads on for Jimenez. However, the Mexican striker is offside, as the referee blows the play dead.

The reverse fixture back in August finished 2-1 in Fulham's favour, with Iwobi getting the go-ahead goal with 20 minutes left to play. In fact, it is the West London side who have dominated the head-to-head at recent times, winning four of the last five. Leicester did grab a 2-0 win at Craven Cottage in the 2020/21 season, but have lost the last three meetings between the two. At home, the Foxes last prevailed in 2019 with a 3-1 success.

It seems like neither side wants to make wholesale changes to their XI, as Marco Silva deploys 10 of the 11 who started on Wednesday. The sole exception comes in the midefield, where Berge comes in for Pereira. The Norwegian returns after being out for the last few weeks due to an ankle injury. Perhaps his comeback could be the difference-maker for Fulham as they look to get back to winning ways.

Despite the heavy fixture list, as well as their not-so-great league position, Leicester coach Ruud Van Nistelrooy makes just one change to his starting XI from the midweek defeat. That comes in the attack, where Ayew replaces Buonanotte. There is still much faith in the regular starters, and they will have to show it in this clash. It is a rather interesting decision to drop the Italian, as he was Leicester's best player in their last match. Time will tell whether that pays off.

Leicester come into this fixtue off the back of six straight Premier League defeats and seven without a win. Sitting second bottom in the league, the Foxes have their work cut out for them. Only last place Southampton have less league wins their season than their three. As such, they could really use a result in this clash. They fell 2-0 in midweek to fellow strugglers Crystal Palace, adding extra stress to the campaign thus far. Fulham, on the other hand, have had less issues, as the Cottagers sit in midtable. They have suffered a drop in form though, having failed to win any of their last three league outings, including a 3-2 reverse at West Ham on Tuesday. They are still in the thick of the race for European football next term, but a return to winning ways at the King Power will go a long way in restarting their charge for returning to European football for the first time since 2011/12.
