Leicester City are hoping to sign Schalke midfielder Amine Harit.
The 25-year-old has not played for Schalke so far this season, as they want to move him on for financial reasons.
He was at Ligue 1 side Marseille last term on loan, scoring four goals in 23 games.
According to Sky Sports, Leicester are hoping to secure the Morocco international on loan, while Schalke want to sell him permanently.
The two clubs may be able to work out a compromise, such as a loan with an obligation to buy agreement.
However, any deal must be done quickly, as the transfer window closes on September 1st.
