CAPAS, Tarlac — Leonard Grospe of Mapua University posted a new high jump national record of 2.23m clearance in a golden performance Friday evening in the ICTSI Philippine Athletics Championships at the New Clark City Stadium here.
Grospe topped the previous record of 2.22m which he himself set in the NCAA Season 101 just last month at the same venue.
The 24-year-old even tried to soar above 2.25m but failed.
