MANILA, Philippines — Colegio de San Juan de Letran pulled a fiery fourth-quarter rally to beat the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, 84-77, in its NCAA Season 101 campaign opener on Sunday night at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City
Letran leaned on former University of the Philippines guard Denzil Walker, who put up 21 points, while Jimboy Estrada added 18 markers along with four rebounds and six assists.
While the Knights parade a smaller lineup than last season, big man Kevin Santos added 15 markers, while Jonathan Manalili showed his scoring and passing, chipping in 12 points, eight assists, and four steals.
Letran also playedmeticulously after tallying 13 turnovers,while Perpetual made 22.
Jan Pagaluyan led the Altas with 18 points, while Angelo Gelsano and LA Casinillo both chipped in 11 points each.
