MANILA, Philippines — The distribution of 1 million sacks of rice from Batangas 1st District Rep. Leandro Leviste in the province has started, a post on his Facebook page said.
"This is Cong. Leandro's personal help without any expense for the government...", it said.
It stated that last Monday, Leviste turned over 20,000 sacks of rice in parishes in Batangas City.
The post stated in Filipino and English that on Thursday, he turned over 20,000 sacks of rice for barangay (village) health workers, watchmen, and other barangay functionaries in his district.
