Kota Kinabalu: The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment will continue to give its unwavering support towards events or programmes that would further “advertise” Sabah’s beauty as a tourist destination.

Its Minister, Datuk Christina Liew, said proposals or suggestions to collaborate with agencies or oganisations are welcomed by the Ministry, especially when it comes to Sabah’s tourism industry, as it would not only further promote the State but also boost the economy.

With the “presence” of huge events in Sabah, she said visitors will not only be presented with the opportunity to experience the tourism attractions, but also will be a reassurance for potential tourists to visit the State as their travel destination.

With the return of Miss World Malaysia 2023 Beauty Festival to Sabah, she said the women’s presence and the competition itself act as a visual platform for those who are curious about the tourism industry that the State has to offer.
