Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Para powerlifters came home with two gold, three silver and two bronze medals at the Allianz-MSN-PPPM 2025 Powerlifting Circuit Two held at the Kampung Pandan Paralympic Sports Excellence Centre in Kuala Lumpur, which ended on Monday.

The gold medal winners were Myzos Majanting in the men’s up to 49kg (best left & total lift) category and Mohd Fauzan in the men’s up to 107kg (total lift).

Mohd Fauzan also won silver in the men’s up to 107kg (best lift) category, while the other silvers came from Abdul Khamis in the men’s up to 72kg (total lift) and Aiman Sarmen in the men’s up to 88kg (total lift).

Another athlete Francis Xavier missed out on the podium after finishing fourth in the men’s up to 49kg (best lift & total lift).

Meanwhile, Sabah Sports Council is hopeful Mohd Fauzan will get into the national back-up programme with his achievement.
