JBL has shared his verdict on WWE superstar Danhausen following his rise to stardom in the last few months.

Danhausen has made quite the name for himself in North America thanks to his association with the New York Knicks during their run to the NBA Finals, which they recently won for the first time since the 1970s.

Now, ex-WWE Champion JBL has given his verdict on the wrestler and suggested he is a one-of-a-kind talent, just like The Undertaker and Eddie Guerrero were.

Danhausen is one of a kind like Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker

Speaking on the Something To Wrestle With Bruce Prichard podcast, JBL had high praise for the WWE star.

He mentioned how wrestlers from the past, such as Shawn Michaels, Eddie and Undertaker, were unique before suggesting that Danhausen is similar.

JBL stated: “People look at the old days and say, ‘Man, we needed like 25 Shawn Michaels’, we didn’t have 25, we had one. We had one Eddie Guerrero, one Undertaker, and they’ve got one Danhausen.

“This guy is unbelievably talented, he’s found lightning in a bottle.”

Danhausen certainly is unique, as he is one of the few comedy wrestlers to properly get over in WWE and garner mainstream attention at the same time in the last few years.

But after his success with the New York Knicks and on WWE TV, JBL expressed hope about seeing more comedy wrestling characters moving forward, though he is betting against it.

He continued: “There are a lot of smart guys out there, but very few smart guys who can do wrestling, and very few who can get over like Danhausen.

“Does it open up opportunities for more [comedy wrestlers]? Yes. Are we going to see a bunch more? I’d bet against it. Hopefully, we do.”

Moving forward, it has been mentioned that WWE will build around Danhausen at a Madison Square Garden appearance.
