In a TikTok video shared by the girl’s family, they noticed a young mother and her three children sitting on a piece of cardboard by the sidewalk.
She could’ve just walked past them, but chose to do the most compassionate thing instead, whereby she offered her shiny balloon to the youngest child.
Within seconds, they both warmed up to each other and the latter happily accepted the gift, much to his mother’s gratitude.
The family’s dire living has evoked the girl’s empathy, a heartwarming gesture that even adults should follow suit.
While the line between poverty and privilege calls for better equality, teaching our kids to be compassionate towards the needy is also essential- just like the girl’s heart of gold.
