  • The singer has become a prominent advocate for SMA, launching a petition for its inclusion in newborn blood spot screening and meeting with Health Secretary Wes Streeting.
  • Earlier this month, screenings for SMA were brought forward in the UK to October 2026, a development Nelson expressed pride in.
