Liverpool are blocking a move away today for Nat Phillips.
The Athletic reports Southampton had made an attempt to lure Phillips away from Anfield.
But Liverpool have been reluctant to let the player leave as injuries have depleted the squad in recent weeks.
Phillips had attracted the attention of multiple different clubs but Joe Matip and Ibrahima Konate have both been sidelined, meaning the 25-year-old looks like to remain at the club beyond tonight's 11pm deadline.
