Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says he feels supported in the transfer market - though would like to gamble more.

While Klopp admitted he would have liked to see Liverpool be more adventurous in the transfer market, he also reiterated his faith in his current squad regardless as he targeted overseeing another successful season at Anfield.

"That's interesting that I don't make that decision, huh?" Klopp said. "Do I feel I've been backed? Yes. This summer? What does it mean 'backed'? Look what I don't like about it now is if I say 'I am not sure' then we make a massive thing about it. But it's not [a big deal], I realise as well that it is always like this. Is it always easy? No. Do we discuss this kind of thing in public? Of course not. Why would we? We don't start now with it.

"So let me say it like this, from time to time I would be ready to risk a bit more but like I say I don't decide that. And that is then fine because I am like this, we try everything until someone tells us 'here's now the deadline, we can't do anything anymore' and that we can't. And in that moment, I don't think one second back and that's what we all have to do now.

"Let's go from there, let's make something special of this team now. It's a great team and this team has everything and yes we've already had problems and didn't always play great football but we will really try to squeeze everything out of this season. And that's the only thing how I understand it to be honest."

He continued: "I am not careful (spending money). I don't think I have to be careful. We get told what is possible and what is not possible. That's it. In this range we try to work it. That's it.

"There's no criticism or anything, we became champions in a season when we didn't sign anyone. It wasn't the most famous approach after becoming second. We had injuries and I don't like that. We have an existing team as well... All the players we have here, we want them to be here and now we have to work with them.

"Unfortunately the season started and we had too many injuries. 100% true. We ask ourselves all the questions. Why it happened, how it happened. But we have to get through this. That's the Liverpool way as well, to get it through it together. That's what I like most about this club...

"Now we are doing pretty well in general, we starting getting picky about these little things. If we don't sign him, then everything is rubbish. But that's not how it is. I want to develop the squad, I want to develop the club. I want to be successful.

"Everybody wants to be successful here, 100%. What does that mean? Is our situation is as it is at some other clubs? No, it never was. But it's good enough to work with and that's what we're doing."
