Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists Curtis Jones didn't deserve his red card in defeat at Tottenmham on Saturday.
The midfielder has since been banned for three games after Liverpool lodged an appeal.
Klopp said at today's Europa League media conference: "What made this day really difficult. We talk about the process of VAR, but in this game there was another situation where Curtis got a red card that I don't think was a red card.
"I think it was a clear and obvious error.
"I saw a wonderful team fighting against all odds in an incredible, fair way. I don't know how we get eight cards altogether. We didn't get points, but all the rest we can use and that is what we will do."
