Liverpool starlet Jarell Quansah admitted to feeling comfortable in defense in midweek.
Quansah and a rotated Reds side lost 2-1 against Union SG in the Europa League.
However, he was pleased to get game time, as he took the place of the injured Joel Matip in the team.
"I guess at the start of the season when I stayed here and didn't go out on loan I thought 'I want to play in these games'," Quansah told club media on Matip.
"Obviously it's a shame what happened to Joel and my condolences go with him, but my idea was to try and get over him... and try and be a starter in the Premier League.
"I'm just trying and hopefully more [opportunities] will come. I'm just trying to really push on and be the best center-back I can be."
