  • Liverpool FC fans are set to stage a series of protests against the club's decision to increase general admission ticket prices in line with inflation for the next three seasons.
  • The club announced the price rises late last month, citing an 85 per cent increase in matchday operating costs since 2016-17, despite making an £8m profit after tax last season.
  • The Spirit of Shankly (SoS) supporters' group said the club ignored "overwhelming opposition" from fans and will begin protests at Saturday's home match against Fulham, with plans to escalate further.
  • Protest tactics include encouraging fans not to spend money inside the stadium, delaying season ticket renewals, and staging demonstrations inside and outside Anfield.
  • A similar fan protest in 2016, which involved a 70th-minute walkout, successfully led to owners Fenway Sports Group reversing a proposed £70 match ticket price.
