Liverpool starlet Kaide Gordon is closing in on a return from injury.
The 18-year-old was impressive during the early part of last season, but has been absent with a pelvic injury since February.
The winger has not played any matches since an under-21 game against Leeds United last February.
“He's on the pitch, he's running," Under-21s manager Barry Lewtas told Liverpool Echo.
“The idea is to build him up and take care. He's eligible to play for the youth team (Under-18s), which shows how young he is. We have to be careful with the injury, but everything is going to plan and hopefully soon he will be an option for us."
