
Kota Kinabalu: Chan Loong Wei (pic) has been re-elected as Democratic Action Party Socialist Youth (Dapsy) Kota Kinabalu Chief for the 2022-2024 term.
He was re-elected during Kota Kinabalu Dapsy’s 2022 Divisional Annual General Meeting held, at the Sabah DAP Headquarters, here, Sunday.
Also retaining her post as Vice Chief is Mei Chan.
“I thank all comrades and members for their support and allowing me to continue to lead as Kota Kinabalu Dapsy Chief,” said the 22-year-old Chan who is also Chief Liaison Officer of Luyang Assemblyman in a statement, here, Monday.
“I am committed to attract more youths to join Kota Kinabalu Dapsy to contribute towards nation building.
“I would also like to specially thank Kaven Lee, Dapsy National Assistant Organising Secretary and Grelydia Gillod, Dapsy Keningau Chief for chairing the AGM as Speaker and Dapsy State Committee Representative,” he said.
He said Kota Kinabalu Dapsy also agreed to give their level best to help DAP to defend the Kota Kinabalu seat in the upcoming general election. This is to increase the chances of PH reclaiming victory in the polls and to benefit the greater public.
Meanwhile, Luyang Assemblyman Phoong Jin Zhe, who was also present, encouraged more younger generations to join and help out as volunteers as the party gears up for the election.
Phoong also said PH was able to win in 2018 because of the collective support from the people, he urged all members to work extra hard to restore hope to the public and he is optimistic that PH will recreate the May 9, 2018 victory.
The other Kota Kinabalu Dapsy lineup are; Secretary Lian Yu Zhi, Assistant Secretary Mei Wei, Treasurer Wong Vui Shiung, Organising Secretary Len Yu Shen, Publicity Secretary April Yih Chai Min and Political Education Director Sai Jia Chun.
The committee members are Tan JyShuan, Loo Fui Ying, Shelaine Pang, Brennan Chiang Bang Chen, Samuel Yong Vui Jie, Sia Bing Hui, Jasper Shim Yee Heng, Er Chee Hong and Chong Ing.
