- Lorraine Kelly has spoken out after a power outage in Covent Garden forced her ITV daytime chat show and This Morning off the air.
- The technical disruption was caused by an overnight power cut in the wider Covent Garden area where the ITV studios are based, also impacting Loose Women.
- Kelly explained she was advised to turn her car around whilst en route to work, but noted that pre-recorded content ensured contingency plans were in place.
- Normal ITV programming was able to resume by 2pm on Wednesday, with Lorraine returning to live broadcasting on Thursday morning.
