
LAHAD DATU: A 24-year-old lorry conductor was injured when the lorry they traveling in skidded and landed on its side at Mile 9, Jalan Silam, here, on Sunday night.
The lorry was on its way to Lahad Datu from Tawau when the incident occurred at about 10pm.
State Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson said the department received a distress call at 10.07pm.
Eight Fire and Rescue personnel were deployed to the scene in a fire engine and EMRS vehicle.

The lorry conductor, who suffered injuries, was taken out by the public before Fire and Rescue team arrived.
“The 30-year-old driver escaped unhurt.
The team stabilised the victim before handing him over to the Ambulance for further treatment,” he said.
