TAWAU: A lorry driver in his 40s was killed after the timber-laden trailer he was driving skidded and overturned along the road before Maliau Basin here on Wednesday morning.
Firemen from the Tawau station, aided by personnel from Kalabakan, freed the man who was trapped in the wreckage before Health Ministry responders confirmed his death at the scene.
Police later took custody of the victim’s remains for further action as firefighters wrapped up the operation at 1.19pm after ensuring the area was safe.
