KOTA BELUD: A lorry driver escaped unhurt after his trailer, loaded with sand, veered off the road and overturned into a drain along Jalan Kampung Penampang here on Wednesday night.
Kota Belud Fire and Rescue Station deployed nine personnel to the scene, located 19km away, arriving at 10.55pm to find the 56-year-old man had managed to exit the vehicle unaided.
Firefighters inspected the area to ensure there were no further hazards before concluding the operation at 11.14pm.
