PAPAR: A roadside tyre change turned fatal when two lorry drivers were struck by an out-of-control car at KM9 of the Pan Borneo Highway near Nagapas on Saturday.
The victims, aged 26 and 62, were assisting with a flat tyre at around 2pm when the vehicle crashed into them, killing both at the scene.
District police chief Supt Kamaruddin Ambo Sakka said initial investigations showed the older driver had stopped on the roadside due to a flat tyre before his younger counterpart pulled over to help.
