Saint Kylo to represent Malaysia at Jameson Distilled Sounds 2025
Malaysian artist Saint Kylo is set to join this year’s Jameson Distilled Sounds alongside 19 other acts from around the world — including Indonesia, Nigeria, Portugal, South Africa and India. The programme happening in Ireland is set to see the return of ‘Music Distiller’ Anderson .Paak who will be mentoring the artists with performing, recording and writing. The inaugural edition of Jameson Distilled Sounds saw CLAUDIA represent Malaysia in Cork.
Saint Kylo said: “When I found out I’d been picked to represent Malaysia at Jameson Distilled Sounds, it honestly felt surreal. I’ve been grinding for years as an indie artist, so to feel seen —on a global stage, mentored by someone like Anderson .Paak, who’s been a huge influence on my sound — it’s wild. I’m just a kid from Taman Melawati, and now I’m sharing space with artists from all over the world, writing music, learning from the best, and putting Malaysia on the map. That kind of belief? It means everything.”
Jameson also took to Jao Tim to celebrate with performances by Saint Kylo. The sending off party featured specially curated cocktails named after the performer’s very own songs including ‘Lovestruck’ (Jameson Irish Whiskey, Campari, Roselle, Sarawak Black Pepper, Lemon, Rose Water & Milk Clarified) and ‘Come Down’ (Jameson Irish Whiskey, Peach Liqueur, Green Herbs Cordial, Lemon Juice & Foam).

Maker’s Mark releases first wheat whisky product

Star Hill Farm is the first ever non-Bourbon launch by Maker’s Mark — and thus, adding a whole new product to its distillery family. For the uninitiated, Maker’s Mark is beloved all around the globe for its bourbon.
The whisky is crafted using the blend of two mashbills. One mashbill comprises 100% malted soft red winter wheat whereas the other mashbill includes a mix of 70% soft red winter wheat and 30% malted barley. Maker’s Mark’s Star Hill Farm (bottled at 57.35% ABV) exudes hints of gingerbread and golden raisins on the nose as well as notes of apple pie spice and chocolate covered cherries on the palate.
