Consistent hard work, disciplined preparation and a passion for technology helped Tavish Goyal of Ludhiana secure an impressive All India Rank (AIR) 504 in the JEE Advanced 2026 examination, bringing laurels to the city.

A student of Spring Bell Public School, Tavish had earlier scored 98 per cent in Class X and 96.2 per cent in Class XII (Non-Medical stream). He also secured an excellent rank of 493 in JEE Main, laying a strong foundation for his success in JEE Advanced.

Tavish, who aspires to pursue Electrical Engineering or Robotics from IIT Bombay, said his interest in technology and innovation motivated him to stay focused throughout his preparation. “I followed a disciplined study schedule and regularly revised concepts. Mock tests helped me identify my weaknesses and improve my performance,” he said.

He credited his success to the support of his parents, teachers and mentors. His father, Dr Neeraj Goyal, is associated with NG Hospital, while his mother is an administrator. Tavish said his family played a crucial role in keeping him motivated during the demanding preparation phase.

According to Tavish, maintaining consistency was the key to success. Instead of focusing on long study hours, he concentrated on understanding concepts thoroughly and solving a wide variety of problems. He also advised future aspirants to remain patient, avoid unnecessary pressure and trust their preparation.

The JEE Advanced result has opened the doors to some of the country’s most prestigious engineering institutes, and Tavish hopes to secure admission to IIT Bombay, his dream institution.

Meanwhile, another student from Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL), Ludhiana — Varnaj Kaur — also delivered an outstanding performance by securing AIR 1017 in JEE Advanced 2026. Her achievement further added to the celebrations at the institute and highlighted the strong showing of Ludhiana students in one of the country’s toughest engineering entrance examinations.

Family members, teachers and classmates congratulated the successful students on their remarkable achievement and wished them success in their future academic pursuits.
