The administration set up a SIR help desk at room number 12 of the district administrative complex to address queries related to electoral roll revision and voter verification. The move is aimed at ensuring smooth implementation of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 process.
The initiative will provide electors with easy access to information and assistance during the SIR exercise, officials said.
They said the help desk will address voter concerns regarding electoral registration officers (EROs), assistant electoral registration officers (AEROs) and booth level officers (BLOs). It will also assist citizens with documentation, voter mapping, corrections and other issues related to the SIR process.
The administration urged residents to make maximum use of the support services being provided through the help desk and BLOs, especially as the district gears up to formally launch the SIR exercise from June 15.
The district administration has already achieved over 74.46 percent voter mapping under the pre-SIR exercise. Special camps will be organised at polling booths across the district on June 7, where BLOs will remain available to assist electors with verification, corrections and grievance redressal.
