Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Ojasvi Alankar visited the industrial area at Focal Point here and listened to grievances of industrialists.
The visit was coordinated by Rahul Ahuja, convener, Apex Chamber of Commerce.
The visit covered Aarti Road and Phases IV, IV-A, V, VI, VII and VIII, and was organised so that association leaders from each phase could walk the MC Commissioner through their respective stretches and show him the ground reality.
The problems raised across all phases were strikingly similar: Garbage dumped openly along roads and lanes, broken and pothole-riddled roads, non-functional street lights and overflowing sewer lines.
With monsoon just around the corner, association leaders stressed waterlogging and sewage overflow during rains could cause damage to industrial units, public health and daily movement of workers and goods.
