Displaying strength, technique and determination, Harkomal Singh Gill, a student of CT University, bagged two gold medals at the All India Inter-University Arm Wrestling Championship.

Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh (RMPS) University, Aligarh, hosted the event.

Harkomal Singh dominated the 85kg category to clinch a gold medal each in the right-arm and left-arm categories in the championship organised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Gill overpowered winners from every weight division to lift the coveted “champion of champions” trophy — the highest individual honour of the championship.

He was felicitated by university officials on his return on Friday. Congratulating him, Manbir Singh, pro-chancellor, CT University, described the victory as a proud moment and a shining example of sporting excellence.

“Harkomal’s phenomenal success reflects his dedication, discipline and fighting spirit. Winning two gold medals, along with the prestigious ‘champion of champions’ trophy at the national level is a remarkable achievement. It will motivate countless young sportspersons to pursue excellence,” he said.
