Kota Kinabalu: Hari Kesihatan 2026, themed “Healthy Together, Happy Families”, will be held this Sunday (Oct 11) at Dewan Serbaguna Damai, Luyang, offering free health checks and screening services to the community.
Organised by Persatuan Wanita Cemerlang Sabah in collaboration with UPPM Likas, UPPM Luyang, the Health Ministry and Kota Kinabalu District Health Office, the programme will run from 8am to 3pm.
Organising chairperson Jessie Goh said the initiative aims to raise health awareness and encourage the community, particularly senior citizens and families, to undergo regular health screenings for early detection and better understanding of their health conditions.
The programme will include a blood donation drive and free screenings for blood glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, eyes, dental health, women’s health, spine, posture and bone density, as well as other health-related services and information booths.
Free influenza vaccinations will also be offered to senior citizens aged 60 and above, subject to limited availability, while visitors completing designated activities and collecting six stamps under the Health Passport Stamp Challenge can redeem a goodie bag while stocks last.
