Life moves fast. One day, you’re running around with your best friend after school, and the next, you’re both caught up in the rush of adulthood.
Years go by. Priorities shift. And sometimes, without meaning to, we lose touch with the people who once meant the world to us.
But for one Malaysian dad, that friendship never really left his heart.
In a touching TikTok video posted by @sabrinababa731, two elderly men, best friends since childhood were seen embracing after being apart for decades.
The video was shared by Sabrina, the daughter of one of the men, who revealed that her father had often spoken about his long-lost best friend.
Even after all these years, the memories still brought tears to his eyes.
He always said he missed his friend lately. Every time he talked about him, he would cry,” Sabrina shared.
Wanting to make her father smile again, Sabrina decided to secretly plan a reunion.
As fate would have it, the friend had also been searching.
He managed to find Sabrina’s contact and reached out, setting the stage for a reunion neither of them expected.
When the two finally met, years seemed to melt away.
They hugged, laughed, and shared stories from their childhood all the way to the present. For Sabrina, watching her father light up was everything.
As a daughter, I was so happy to see them smiling and catching up like no time had passed. I hope they get to make more memories together, even in their old age,” she said.
She added that she never imagined a friendship that started in their school days would remain this strong after so many years.
From bachelor days, to marriage, to now their twilight years… they’re still best friends. Alhamdulillah,” she wrote.
The reunion struck a chord with many online. In the comments, netizens shared how touched they were by the video.
“There must be so many memories between them. It’s something you never forget,” said one user.
Many also offered warm wishes and prayers, hoping the two men continue to find joy and comfort in each other’s company.
